Abstract
In this paper, mixed layer height and certain mean elements are predicted by using a dry mixed layer model.Their variation with time and some basic properties are discussed. The model is tested with the 1967 Australian Wangara experimental data.Comparison of the calculated results with the observed data is conducted. The aim of this paper is to build a predictive model describing the basic properties of the mixed layer and attempts to formulate a boundary layer parameterization scheme suitable for the numerical weather prediction model.
