EFFECTS OF SOLAR FLARE ON THE MIDDLE ATMOSPHERE^*

The SME satellite data of solar UV radiation and mesospheric ozone during solar flare in 1982 are analyzed.The results show that the Ha line index used in the solar flare classification is not a proper parameter for studying the effects of solar activity on the photochemical process in the middle atmosphere.
